18 July 2018. On the airplane from Berlin to Vancouver, somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean I give up on trying to read my book and I switch on the small screen in front of me. I
open the flight information and go to the map that shows me the globe, the current position of the airplane and its predicted route. I scroll to North America and zoom in on our trajectory over
Canada. I zoom in as much as possible and all I see are bare rocks and ice caps, divided by a river here or there. I scroll further and zoom out a little and suddenly two words appear on the
screen: “Sorel-Tracy”. “Sorel-Tracy” – a city of 40,000 inhabitants, in the North-East of Montreal.
